Olympia

Olympia is the state capital city of Washington and the county seat of Thurston County. Historic downtown and the waterfront are popular destinations. The State Capitol Campus is considered the most beautiful in the United States.

A mild climate makes Olympia an ideal place for outdoor recreation. Olympia maintains 40 public parks and miles of trails. Salmon return to Budd Inlet each fall up the ladder at the 5th Avenue tide lock.

Olympia's location at the gateway to the Olympic Peninsula, puts one within two hours or less of regional recreational attractions - from hiking and skiing in the mountains to beachcombing along ocean shores.
