Empowering Women in the U.S. and Japan

The promotion of the role of women is a significant policy priority for both the U.S. and Japan – Both countries are committed to furthering gender equality in the workplace and women's full participation in our societies by working together in various platforms. Please join us with a group of distinguished local and global leaders across politics and business to discuss the current challenges faced in both countries and what we can learn from each others' best practices. A panel discussion will cover the link between female participation in the workforce and the impact on the overall economic growth in Washington state and beyond as well as the changes in corporate culture to further ensuring women play more active roles to strengthen the economy
