What is a Local Session?

After opening the Summit in Seattle, participants leave for their home stay town and stay with their host family for four days and three nights.  During the home stay days, the local town leaders and host families work together to share the best that their community has to offer.

Local Sessions need host families to help make the Summit a success! Find out more about becoming a host family here.

All host families will receive two complimentary tickets to the Grassroots Summit Closing Ceremony on September 23, 2018 at the Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton, Washington. More on the Closing Ceremony here.

If you are unavailable to host but would still like to be involved in your local session, contact your local session’s key person directly to become a volunteer. Please see the key person directory to find your key person.

シアトルにてサミットが開始された後は、参加者は各自のホームステイ先へホストファミリーとともに向かい、３泊４日を共に過ごします。ここでは、ホストファミリーの方々と各地域の代表の方々とが連携して、その地域ならではの体験を参加者に提供します。

すべてのホストファミリーには、９月２３日、レントンのハイアット・リージェンシー・レイク・ワシントンで行われるクロージング式典の招待券を、各家族２枚まで渡されます。クロージング式典の詳細はこちらをご確認ください。
